In simple terms, VFX is the process by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shot to create environments which look realistic, but would be dangerous, expensive, impractical, or simply impossible to capture on film. Visual effects are mostly executed in the post-production stage with the use of multiple tools and technologies such as graphic design, modelling, animation etc, while special effects such as explosions and car chases are partially executed during the filming process itself.

Vfx industry is on the rise in India with the overall revenue about to cross 15000 crores by this year end. Vfx plays a vital role in every aspect of visual media like Television programs, Films, Advertisements, Music videos, Games etc & its unimaginable even to conceive a visual program today without the usage of vfx in some form. The demand for Vfx professionals is huge today, as India is also becoming the biggest hub for outsourced projects from foreign studios.
